Daily Oral Care

How Often Should You Floss?

For most people, cleaning between the teeth once a day is a sensible target. The exact time matters less than doing it thoroughly and making it repeatable.

Morning or night?

Choose the moment you are least likely to skip. Night-time flossing removes food and plaque gathered during the day; morning flossing may fit your schedule better.

Before or after brushing?

Flossing before brushing can loosen debris and make it easier to brush away, but a careful routine in either order is useful. Focus on gentle technique and enough time to clean every tooth.

Can you floss too much?

Frequent aggressive flossing can irritate gums. More pressure is not more effective. If a space repeatedly hurts, traps food or bleeds, speak with a dentist or hygienist.

Keep it simple: One cue, one convenient spot, one complete clean each day.
